The Colorado Springs Real Estate Market Report for December 2016

According to the new data released by the Pikes Peak Association of REALTORS® for December 2016, the Colorado Springs real estate market is slowing down for the Winter but is still one of the busiest markets on record.

The Bottom line:

As our market slows down for Winter, but not as slow as expected. We still sold 8.7% more homes than we did last year at this time and last year was a record year. There is no slowing down this market right now!

  • New Listings: 763 (Up -2.2% from last year)
  • Sold Listings: 1,196 (Up +8.7% from last year)
  • Total Active Listings: 1,236 (Down -11.6% from last year)
  • Median Sales Price: $255,000 (Up +6.0% from last year)
  • Total Under Contract: 1,729 (Up +3.3% from last year)
  • List To Sold Price Ratio: 99.3% Up +0.4% from last year)
  • Days on the Market: 40 Days (Down 33% from last year)

The Colorado Springs Real Estate Market is Going Strong!

As we start the New Year after closing out a great 2016, we are blessed to have worked with so many great clients last year. Our predictions for 2017 are that the market will continue to escalate throughout the year and Sellers will see record prices on their home sales in 2017.
