Gold Hill Mesa in Colorado Springs

Gold Hill Mesa in Colorado Springs, CO

Gold Hill Mesa is a master-planned neighborhood on the west side of Colorado Springs, close to Downtown and Old Colorado City. This growing community features modern Craftsman-style homes, colorful townhouses, and apartments. Most houses have inviting front porches and sit along walkable, tree-lined streets, some offering mountain views and glimpses of the historic Golden Cycle Mill smokestack. Residents love being within walking distance of Bear Creek Regional Park and the Bear Creek Dog Park. Gold Hill Mesa has over 600 homes and plans to add more, with future apartments, retail, and an amphitheater coming soon. Parts of the site were engineered to help channel rainwater and preserve soil health, a unique feature for Colorado Springs neighborhoods. The neighborhood’s monthly HOA covers landscaping and maintenance. The development sits atop Colorado’s most productive gold mill from the early 1900s, and the smokestack is planned as the centerpiece for a new plaza and museum.

Gold Hill Mesa also offers a strong sense of community, highlighted by regular concerts, art shows, and gatherings at the neighborhood’s Community Center. Families here are zoned to Cheyenne Mountain School District, with Cheyenne Mountain Elementary, Cheyenne Mountain Junior High, and Cheyenne Mountain High nearby. Parks and greenways connect walking and biking paths throughout the area. Local shopping and restaurants are just minutes away, and quick access to Highway 24 puts the mountains within reach.
